Discernment Counseling is a short-term, structured approach designed to help couples on the brink of divorce gain clarity and confidence about the future of their relationship.

In this 4-hour introductory training, counselors and ministry leaders will learn the core principles, stages, and strategies of Discernment Counseling, including how to engage both the “leaning in” and “leaning out” spouse in a way that fosters openness, honesty, and respect.

Through teaching, case examples, and discussion, facilitators Chip Neuenschwander, MA, LMFT, and Dr. Russ Berg will provide practical tools for navigating these high-stakes situations while integrating faith-based values and evidence-informed practices.

Coffee, snacks and lunch provided.

Receive 4 CEUs upon completion.
