Pastors, Church Staff, and Christian Counselors: Join Us for Lunch

MACC is hosting a special gathering for pastors, church staff, ministers, and ministry leaders to connect with local Christian counselors and licensed therapists.

Together, we’ll engage in an important discussion on “Church Hurt”—exploring how clients and congregants have expressed disillusionment, hurt, or trauma within the church. This is also an opportunity to share insights and brainstorm how we, as pastors and Christian therapists, can respond with wisdom and care.

Your feedback and insights will help shape MACC’s 2025 Fall Annual Conference on this crucial topic.

**While our meal count is now closed, you're still welcome to attend! Feel free to bring your own lunch or purchase something from the cafe on-site.**

We're excited to have Jenita Pace (Licensed Professional Counselor @ Three Rivers Counseling) and Dan Munson (pastor & retired therapist) joining us to share with you experiences and insights related to "Church Hurt" as well.

Jenita Pace began her journey into becoming a mental health professional after having her own battles and developing a passion for helping others. She is an adjunct professor at the University of Northwestern in St Paul.  She is also the author of the book "The Healing Names of Jesus: Find Freedom from Anxiety and Depression," has been on numerous podcasts and radio shows, as well as has worked with Five Stone Media in educating the church on how to serve those who need support. Jenita is a contributing author to the Passion Translation blog, has published devotionals on YouVersion, and is a speaker at various conferences and events across the country.  She specializes in counseling teens; as well as working with people facing depression, anxiety, trauma, and spiritual injuries. Above all, Jenita loves helping others and seeing people find hope and healing.  She is married to Tim, a retired pastor, and they have two sons.  Jenita enjoys spending time with her horse, her sheepadoodle,  traveling, and playing games.

Dan Munson, a pastor and retired marriage and family therapist, leads Anchored Ministries in Maplewood, Minnesota. Anchored ministers to refugee families with traumatic backgrounds. As a therapist, Dan co-founded Family Innovations, Inc.

During his career, Dan has served as interim pastor for 10 congregations, bringing healing and guidance to churches in times of transition. He has a heart for mentoring pastors, missionaries, and church leaders, helping them embrace their God-given identity and calling.

Dan enjoys spending time with his grandchildren, leading mission trips, motorcycling, and connecting over coffee. He believes that “being” must precede “doing,” and that living as the body of Christ in all circumstances is the foundation for true impact.
