Still grappling with the claws of codependency while beginning her career as a therapist nearly 18 years ago, Heather fought her way through until she finally realized that fighting wasn’t what she was made for. Surprisingly, after years of seeing her own counselor, she slowly discovered that surrender is more her speed. Her life’s passion is walking with others on their journey of codependency recovery.
Heather is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in group private practice at Valley Christian Counseling Center in Fargo, North Dakota. She is also a faculty member at Community Christian College in Redlands, California, where she teaches Psychology and Sociology online. Heather has been a regular contributor for North Dakota Today on Fargo’s NBC affiliate KVLY, and for Life 97.9 radio in Fargo. Her writing has been featured in On the Minds of Moms, a local magazine for today’s parent, and she’s been invited to speak for a wide variety of organizations, including Stephen’s Ministry trainings and community-wide faith-based mental health events.
